SEX FORBIDDENS
SEX FORBIDDENS: According to the Tao of Sexology, it is unhealthy and unwise to have sex under certain conditions. These times are referred to as The Forbiddens.
Taoist teachings indicate that health means that there is a complete balance of energy within the body. There is no doubt that sex can be very energizing when done properly, but during sex the majority of your vital energy is directed towards your genitals. A good example is that post-orgasmic thought, “how did we end up in the hallway?” All of your brain’s vital energy was directed towards your sex organs and the event becomes surreal. During sex all of your vital energies are drawn from other parts of your body straight to the genitals. So if you already suffer from an energy imbalance, sexual activity will drain the body even further.
In addition to creating an imbalance of energy, sex leaves you wide open and vulnerable to any good or bad universal energies that exist outside of the body. Taking in outside energies can be beneficial, however, at certain times outside energies can have a negative effect on our own energies. These times are SEXUAL FORBIDDENS
THE TAO OF SEXOLOGY FORBIDS SEXUAL ACTIVITY DURING THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS
DURING INTOXICATION
When you are drunk your body is already over-stimulated: The additional stimulation that sex will provide can be damaging to the body. We mentioned that sex leaves you wide open, well so does alcohol. When you’re drunk, you are wide open for disease, mishaps, and bad energy.
WHEN YOU ARE ON YOUR PERIOD
Think of it like this: when a woman is on her period, her cervix and her womb “bleed.” Anytime any other part of the body bleeds, we let it rest and recover. The womb should be no different. The womb and the cervix are very vulnerable at this time so STDs, bacteria, and dirt are likely to cause the cervix to become inflamed.
RIGHT AFTER EATING
Sex takes all of the energy that would go towards food digestion and diverts it straight to the genitals. If you wait at least 30 minutes after eating before you have sex, you will decrease your chances of having any gaseous moments and or heart burn.
WHEN YOU ARE SICK
When Ill and Taking medication or Taking Drugs: Obviously drugs will create an imbalance in your energies, this is why addicts exist. If you are sick and taking medication for it, your two potential causes for imbalance include your illness & your medication. Sex would be the third cause of imbalance.
DURING PREGNANCY
Taoist theory is that the baby lies at peace within the womb. Imagine being in an earthquake. This is the proposed effect that sex will have on the womb. Sex during pregnancy will lead cause the baby to enter the world with a serious nervous disorder. If you must indulge during pregnancy, Taoist teaching suggests you should at least abstain during the last three months.
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING URINATION
Fellas should wait a few minutes after they pee because the penis can easily transfer germs from the urine to the vagina (this runs contrary to our section on golden showers). Wait at least ten minutes before having sex.
WHEN YOU ARE EXAUSTED
During sex your genitals are energized by draining energy from elsewhere in your body. If you already have very little energy, sexual activity will deplete it even further.
AFTER A HOT SHOWER, BATH, OR HOT TUB EXPERIENCE
Hot water will stimulate the body and sex with cause the body to become over stimulated and imbalanced. Wait 30 minutes after the hot bath before you start having sex. This especially applies for anyone with heart-related issues.
DURING A FULL MOON
A full moon is a time of high energy and over-stimulation, sex will cause you to be doubly over-stimulated and completely open to outside energies. This is why we have the saying that accompanies bizarre events, “must be a full-moon.”
WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY
Many agree that make-up sex is certainly off-tha-chain, but anger is not healthy. Anger increases your blood pressure, creates heavy breathing, and builds up toxins in the body. This will create internal imbalance and will of course leave you wide open.
